It's Official: I'm an Author!

As any writer can tell you, there are milestones along the path of writing which help us feel like a real author. Sometimes it happens when a writer sees a first-time published article or short story. Sometimes it's that first check--written to your name--that makes a writer say "Eureka! I'm an author!"

I've hit a few of those fore-mentioned milestones, but nothing compares to having my name signed to the bottom of a literary agency's contract. I finally reached that milestone! I have been signed to the Hartline Literary Agency, and will be working with agent Terry Burns.

It's my eureka moment! I'm hoping for that future signing, of course, when my novel will be published, but for now, I'm celebrating this milestone.

As soon as my bio comes up on Terry's website, there WILL be a link here on my blog! Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

Now, on to the next milestone...

How exciting, Dee. I can't wait to have my own book published. Have had a story published in an anthology but cannot imagine the thrill of your own book! where can we get yours?

Thanks, Marijo! My book isn't published yet--but the first big step of having an agent who can help me get it into an editor's hands is taken and I'm so glad for that. (: When it does get sold, I'll be sure to post that!
