Rushing Wind

Rushing Wind

by Keith Green

Rushing wind, blow through this temple,

Blowing out the dust within;

Come and breathe your breath upon me:

I've been born again.

Holy Spirit, I surrender; take me where you want to go.

Plant me by your living water,

Plant me deep so I can grow.

Jesus, you’re the one who sets my spirit free;

Use me, Lord; glorify your Holy Name through me.

Separate me from this world, Lord;

Sanctify my life for you.

Daily change me to your image,

Help me bear good fruit.

Ev'ry day you're drawing closer;

Trials come to test my faith.

But when all is said and done, Lord,

You know it's been worth the wait.

Jesus, you’re the one who set my spirit free;

Use me, Lord; glorify your Holy Name through me.

Rushing wind, blow through this temple,

Blowing out the dust within;

Come and breathe your breath upon me,

For I've been born again.

It's Raining, It's Pouring..I Wish I Was Snoring

Today is one of those dreary spring days when it's cold, wet and windy. I didn't want to get out of bed and I didn't want to go to my doctor's appointment. I think we should be allowed to call off life if the day is too conducive to sleep. I want nothing more than a soft pillow, my snuggly jammies and cozy bed. How I long to sleep and sleep and sleep!

That won't happen, of course, even if I do go back to bed. Murphy's Law makes it clear when a person goes back to bed, even on a perfect day to crawl back under the covers, said person is NOT going to sleep. Said person will instead lie there wide-eyed and awake, whining for rest that never comes.

So okay--scratch that idea. Maybe I should write. Yes. Good idea. Open Word...pull up blog article that is due May 1st...ummmmm...hmmmm...huh?...yeah.

Okay. Scratch that until later. Maybe I could plan Easter dinner. Yay--good idea!

Stack the recipe books...scan the variety of potato recipes...boy--look at all those ingredients...keep original idea of cheese potatoes...close books.

So, okay, scratch THAT notion, too.

Gee, my bed looks too cozy. Back to that original idea. Somebody pull down the shades and wake me when dinner's ready.
