It's Official: I'm an Author!

As any writer can tell you, there are milestones along the path of writing which help us feel like a real author. Sometimes it happens when a writer sees a first-time published article or short story. Sometimes it's that first check--written to your name--that makes a writer say "Eureka! I'm an author!"

I've hit a few of those fore-mentioned milestones, but nothing compares to having my name signed to the bottom of a literary agency's contract. I finally reached that milestone! I have been signed to the Hartline Literary Agency, and will be working with agent Terry Burns.

It's my eureka moment! I'm hoping for that future signing, of course, when my novel will be published, but for now, I'm celebrating this milestone.

As soon as my bio comes up on Terry's website, there WILL be a link here on my blog! Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

Now, on to the next milestone...

This One's for You, Honey

I was joking with a friend on facebook this morning about how my husband will probably never retire. This conversation led to think about what a hard worker he is. He is always ready to go to work! He prays about his clients and his co-workers, and does his best when he is at work.

Sometimes, I become blase about the ordinary things my hubby does. But really, he is extraordinary. Because God made him just the way he is, he is unique. Even his daily work habits are unique to him and a blessing to his co-workers, his employer, and to his family. I never have to worry about his eagerness to work. He blesses me with stability and a feeling of being safe.

I think that's what God intended for him to be to me and to our son: someone for us to lean on and someone for us turn to when we feel vulnerable. He is a God-fearing man and honors his commitments to God, his family and his employer.

So thank you, Arlen Yoder, for being the hard worker you are! I love you, honey!
