What Is WRONG With Me?

I don't know if I have true writer's block, but I have something wrong with me. There's a heavy fog settled over the writing part of my brain. Nothing goes in and nothing comes out. Can you tell?

I haven't written much on my blog or anywhere else for that matter. I'm doing okay with editing my novel, but that's about it.

So...have you experienced this kind of writing drought before? What did you do to get over the block? I think I need to make myself DO something...but I have no idea what...and if I did know, I'm not sure I could DO it. I'm open to suggestions!

In the mean time, I might go read some blogs...another long neglected activity...but that's another problem for another day.

Dee, I am sure everyone who writes experiences a sort of block from time to time. What I am going to try to start doing is writing down ideas and plans BEFORE sitting down to the computer - because when I sit down I often can't remember anything creatively speaking and end up just reading email and other people's blogs etc. But one thing that is more important is something the Lord put on my heart a few short years ago: Pray for inspiration.
And sometimes taking a break is good for different reasons - between you and the Lord.
Be blessed as you rest in Him today!

I'm going through the same thing, Dee. It is very frustrating. I'm reading a book and really like how it's written. I want to try setting my Nano up the same way. I guess that's inspiring me right now. We'll see if that goes anywhere.

I was going through the same season with my blog. It seemed like there was never time to write, when I did find the time, my thoughts were too unorganized to come out right. UGH! The busy, younger years gets better, right? Please tell me they do!

Calina, I wish I could say they do, but there is always a busy season when you're a mom! But the rewards are sure nice, and somehow, the time flies past. Before you know it, the precious years of childhood are gone. It is good to savor them--even when they drive you crazy!
